Stonegate Wilderness Photography specializes in capturing the beauty of nature and wildlife through the lens. Our focus is often on showcasing landscapes, flora, and fauna in various settings, emphasizing the serenity and majesty of the wilderness. We organise Primate excursion trips to gorilla tracking, chimpanzee tracking, golden monkey and we lead birding tours and cultural tours among others depending on the needs of our clients. We may offer workshops besides guided tours, and prints of our work, aiming to inspire others to appreciate and protect natural world. Our Story
Stonegate Wilderness Photography Safaris was a concept by Innocent Ampeire an experienced primate keeper, conservationist, birder and a passionate nature photographer.
Ever since growing up in southwestern Uganda, he dreamed of becoming a conservationist. He joined a wildlife club and enrolled in training courses on Environment and Conservation. He worked as a Savanna Guide at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida where he was awarded with a certificate for Outstanding Service highlighting exceptional service to Walt Disney World guests.
He has worked as a primate keeper, at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary; Educator, Safari Guide and a photographer for a number of companies. In his free time he runs photography safaris where he shares his knowledge about wildlife photography.
Innocent and the team at Stonegate Wilderness Photography enjoy meeting people and teaching the ways of the wildlife.
